Etherenos - LemonJesters' Residence

3D streaming background created for @/lemonjesters on Twitch to accompany the virtual avatar I also made for her. Etherenos is one of her original worlds. Celestial, dreamy, ethereal. The inspiration for this environment primarily came from one of Lemon's favorite games, Pocket Mirror - GoldenerTraum by AstralShift and VisuStella, published by Komodo. I also took inspiration from Victorian mansions and castle ballrooms. The greatest challenge of this project was finding a balance between my love of thorough decorating and Lemon's preference for simple designs. I didn't want to make the background too busy, as it could've distracted from her model and been overkill for her taste. I also struggled working with this color palette since the requested palette was pale shades of pink and white. I added darker colors for contrast where I could with the furnishings, such as using brown and mahogany wood and changing some of the cushion colors to a darker rose shade. The wall assets from Megascans were originally dark red and brown, but I adjusted the colors to get the pink and white you see now. All assets are from the Fab marketplace, except for the framed painting above the fireplace. The frame is from Fab, but the PNG image within it was created by me in Clip Studio Paint and imported as a diffuse map.
