Scythe

This scythe is an updated version of one I made as my first ever model in 3ds Max. After gaining more experience with the software over the course of my program, I decided to remake the original model from scratch in Maya. I corrected some texturing and sculpting issues I had in the first model and added a spiral piece that I felt enhanced the overall appearance and complexity of the scythe. The spike portion of the scythe was inspired by Beyond the Grave's coffin from Yasuhiro Nightow's Gungrave. One of the traits I liked about this model was combining the organic textures of wood and lichen with the manmade metal and rust textures.
